Sensirion (Switzerland) has been certified to standard ISO/TS 16949:2002 since March 2008. The sensor manufacturer has thus taken an important step in the continuous improvement of its quality management system.
Sensirion AG aims to supply products and services that satisfy the most stringent quality specifications. The Swiss sensor company therefore strives to continuously improve and further develop its quality
management system. The successful certification to standard ISO/TS16949:2002 in March 2008 is an important milestone in this process. The certificate enhances the company's October 2003 certification to standard ISO 901:2000 and demonstrates the progress that has been made in quality management.
Sensirion's quality management system is designed and managed by a department specifically created for this purpose. Together with the associated process managers, it handles the design, implementation,
monitoring and continuous improvement of standardized and reliable business processes. An effective complaints management system ensures that problems and complaints are dealt with quickly. It contributes
substantially to ensuring that OEM customers' value-added processes receive optimum support.
A top-notch quality management system is of key importance for markets and applications for which specifications are numerous and strict. Reliable business processes and consistent high quality services are
essential, especially in the automotive and medical technology industries.
ISO/TS 16949 is based on automotive industry guidelines and reflects these demanding specifications.
The process-oriented approach of ISO/TS 16949 ensures that the quality of all important business processes is high. The successful certification is thus a reflection of Sensirion's ongoing efforts to design all of its processes to achieve the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
