Air Monitoring
ET Celebrates Its Silver Jubilee
Jun 04 2008
networks, celebrates its silver anniversary this year.
The last quarter-century has seen major developments in emissions monitoring, both in terms of available technology and growing concern about the environmental impact of the products we use and the way we travel.
Enviro Technology (ET) was founded by managing director, Steve Read, with a vision to supply the most advanced environmental monitoring instrumentation, together with the very best after-sales support and maintenance packages. With just £2000 start-up capital and a large overdraft, the company had just two members of staff at the outset and took orders totalling £275 in its first year. 25 years on, turnover
is approaching £6m and the company employs 38 staff with offices in the UK, Ireland and Qatar.
As well as developing its own products, ET is the exclusive UK distributor for a range of worldbeating technologies including Opsis open-path AQM systems, Picarro trace gas analysers and TrafficBOx â the new, compact and cost-effective monitoring system that can measure up to
six gases.
ET managing director, Steve Read commented, âTwenty five years ago it would have been impossible to foresee the explosion in interest
in environmental monitoring and that concerns about global warming would be top of the public policy agenda. Iâm proud that ET has been at the forefront of technological advances and will continue to lead the industry with innovative, highly efficient products.â
