The FLT93S Series Flow Switch, from Fluid Components International (FCI) is designed to provide reliable and accurate monitoring, alarming and switching for large-scale chilled water systems. The dual-alarm FLT93S Flow Switch provides flow, level and temperature monitoring in a single device, making it ideal for use in district energy systems that serve city business districts, medical and corporate campuses, universities or exhibition centres.

The FLT93S Flow Switch is crucial in maintaining the uninterrupted and dependable operation of chilled water systems, as unexpected reductions in flow rates can cause equipment damage and system downtime, resulting in costly repairs or replacement. The dual alarm feature provides an early warning signal to the operator when there is a low flow situation, allowing for timely decision-making, such as keeping the system running or shutting it down for inspection and repair.

The advanced FLT93S Flow Switch is a dual-function instrument that indicates both flow and temperature, and/or level sensing in a single device. The switch can be specified in either insertion or inline styles for pipe or tube installation, and comes with dual 6A relay outputs that are assignable to flow, level or temperature. The rugged and all-welded design of the switch requires virtually no maintenance, making it an excellent investment with a low lifecycle cost.

FCI flow switches are electronic flow switches that apply thermal dispersion flow measurement technology to provide a highly accurate and repeatable flow rate to achieve highly reliable and repeatable setpoint detection. They are also the only thermal flow switch manufacturer providing sensor temperature compensation to ensure set point accuracy for process temperatures that vary up to ±100°F. Approvals available include SIL, SIL2, FM/FMc, ATEX, CSA, CRN, CE, EAC/TR CU, EQM/ECAS, IECEx and Inmetro.

The FLT93S Switches are ideal for applications in many demanding hazardous process industries, including food/beverage, mining/milling, pulp/paper, pharmaceutical, water/wastewater treatment and more. FCI's versatile and highly dependable FLT93S Switches are available in various materials such as 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy or exotic materials, making them suitable for use in a wide range of industrial and commercial settings.
