Ammonia concentrations are routinely measured in wastewater effluent, drinking water, surface water, and seawater. CHEMetrics offers two easy-to-use methods for measuring ammonia levels in water, with ranges from 0.5 ppm to 10,000 ppm.

The traditional Nessler reagent, which contains mercury, provides test results in two minutes or less. The mercury-free HBA reagent (hydroxybenzyl alcohol) provides test results in six minutes or less. Both methods use CHEMetrics’ “Snap-and-Read” self-filling ampoules.
