Measuring ammonia in wastewater, surface water and more…

Nov 10 2020

Ammonia concentrations are routinely measured in wastewater effluent, drinking water, surface water, and seawater. CHEMetrics offers two easy-to-use methods for measuring ammonia levels in water, with ranges from 0.5 ppm to 10,000 ppm.

The traditional Nessler reagent, which contains mercury, provides test results in two minutes or less. The mercury-free HBA reagent (hydroxybenzyl alcohol) provides test results in six minutes or less. Both methods use CHEMetrics’ “Snap-and-Read” self-filling ampoules.

CHEMetrics proudly celebrates 50 years of delivering fast, reliable, easy-to-use water test kits. Founded in 1969 with the invention of CHEMetrics’ self-filling ampoules for colorimetric water analysis, the company proudly serves a wide range of industries and applications across the globe.
