Newly Released Multi-Input Controller Combining Functionaility and Value for Money

AquaMetrix (USA) recently released the 2300 controller. It is the first multi-input analyser on the market to complete web-based control and data logging giving excellent value for money.

The 2300 feature set includes: Inputs from 4 analogue, 4-20 mA sensors plus 3 pulse output probes such as paddle wheel or magmeter flow sensors, four relays that can be configured in any combination with sensors, alarms for each sensor input in the form of front display warnings, e-mail alerts and text messages, Modbus TCP output, optional cards allowing 4 additional inputs or 4 additional relays.

In addition to all of the above, the data logger records values from every probe at a user-determined frequency. Data logs can be downloaded through a web browser, the alarm logs record every trigger of an alarm or relay, 5 types of system logs record errors and outside access and can identify network break-ins, plus manipulation of process variables to create new variables such as differential pressure or flow totaliser.

The 2300 is targeted toward small and medium sized installations that can’t afford a sophisticated SCADA system. For a small fraction of the cost operators in an industrial or municipal operation can have complete control over their processes wherever they are.

One particularly strong application is remote level monitoring of tanks or totes that store chemical inventory. The 2300CS contains a 2300 controller, power supply and cellular modem housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure. It is tailored toward remote, outdoor monitoring.
