Solinst Canada Ltd. has introduced the Solinst Model 301 Water Level Temperature Sensor; this cutting-edge device provides extremely precise water level transmission data using multiple protocols, such as MODBUS and SDI-12, to cater to a plethora of applications. Solinst’s compact all-in-one submersible hydrostatic level transmitter offers continuous, stable level and temperature measurements, users can also opt to have absolute, non-vented and gauged, vented sensor set-ups; this device, factory calibrated to NIST traceable standards, offers 0.05% FS accuracy.

The software ensures a simple sensor set-up to operate using different protocols, carry out diagnostics and update the sensor firmware when necessary; connection to a PC is via a USB A-Programming cable. The Model 301 features an unprecedented output rate of 1 second and it is quick and easy to integrate into pre-existing monitoring systems such as PLC or SCADA. Operators can measure hydrostatic liquid levels on a long-yerm basis in a host of industrial, municipal and environmental monitoring programs.

The Model 301 can operate within 6 pressure ranges from 5 – 200m, with communication cable assemblies up to 300 metres; the vented cables feature integrated hydrophobic water blocking filters, eliminating the necessity for using consumable desiccants. The device’s water level pressure and temperature sensors are housed within a slimline and rugged 22 mm x 192 mm/ 7/8 x 7.55 inch, 316L stainless steel housing. Double o-ring seals prevent Leaks are avoided thanks to a double ‘O’ ring seals, while a Faraday cage design offers protection from power surges and lightning. Each probe includes a removable nose cone to enable usage of the 1/4" NPTM threaded connection to attach to pipes or conduits.
