Water monitoring
The Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS Expo) is the UK’s largest exhibition of environmental solutions. To better serve its attendees, ESS Expo 2025 will integrate two new, specialist events, covering water and wastewater management (WWEM Expo) as well as air quality and emissions (AQE Expo).
Together, these well-regarded shows will offer a comprehensive look at today’s environmental monitoring sector on 17th and 18th September 2025 at the NEC Birmingham.
Formerly known as WRM Expo, WWEM Expo is the UK’s largest event dedicated to water and wastewater management. It aims to cover every aspect of this industry, from water quality monitoring, to supply and distribution, to flood mitigation.
With over 150 leading exhibitors and 4,000+ attendees anticipated, WWEM Expo is the sector’s primary platform for water companies, regulators, engineers, consultants and public sector leaders to exchange insights.
A new addition to the event for 2025 is SuDS Live, a suite of exhibition stands and presentations dedicated to exploring sustainable urban drainage systems that will provide a forum for collaboration between leading experts, solution providers and decision-makers. Attendees should expect in-depth technical demonstrations and expert-led discussions that consider every facet of this emerging solution.
Now rebranded from APC Expo, AQE Expo will continue to champion cutting-edge solutions in air quality monitoring and emissions management.
With over 100 industry-leading suppliers showcasing technologies for industrial emissions control, stack monitoring, odour and dust management, indoor and ambient air quality as well as tools for carbon credit markets, AQE Expo is the go-to event for environmental consultants, policymakers, manufacturers and safety professionals working on air pollution.
Both WWEM and AQE Expo will be part of the Environmental Monitoring Awards, hosted on the evening of the first day (17 September) of ESS Expo 2025. The Awards recognise excellence in environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance and driving sustainable change.
ESS Expo will also host Resource & Waste Management Expo (RWM Expo); Complete Auto Recycling Show & Metals Recycling Event (CARS & MRE); Energy, Fuels & Decarbonisation Expo (EFD Expo); Contamination & Land Remediation Expo (CLR Expo) and Geotechnical Engineering and Operations Expo (GEO Expo), giving all attendees vast opportunities to source the latest services, technologies, and solutions across the wider environmental sector and interconnected industries.
As Rob Mowat, Event Director, notes, “The integration of WWEM and AQE into ESS Expo marks a defining moment in the evolution of environmental events in the UK. These shows bring together the most influential voices and pioneering technologies across water and air quality, two of the most pressing challenges in environmental management today. By combining these specialised expos under one expansive platform, we are not only enhancing the depth of the event but also creating an unmatched environment for collaboration and innovation.”
