Oxford Instruments’ (UK) announces the launch of a new, robust X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyser –the X MET5000, for accurate and reliable identification of pollutants in soil.
The X-MET5000 represents the 4th generation of Oxford Instruments’ hand-held analyzers. Engineered for high performance and reliability, this brand new analyzer combines Oxford Instruments’ patented PentaFET®
detector technology guaranteed fast analysis and lower detection limits for all elements of interest.
Legislation imposes severe restrictions on land quality. The importance of identifying heavy elements in soil is increasing, as is the need to pre-sort contaminated soil to minimise landfill costs. This analyzer defines the extremities of ‘hotspots’ in seconds. Powerful user programmable software delivers highly accurate Go/No-Go decisions. The X-MET5000 will identify material type and automatically chooses the best
analysis method.
This rugged and reliable tool is IP54 (NEMA 3) approved for superior dust and splash protection. The X-MET5000 is perfect for the harsh environments. The battery’s operating time of one day enables
extended productivity in the field without returning to base.
An optional bench-top stand enables hands-free operation for multi-tasking without the loss in confidence in measurement results.
