New Emissions Analyser awarded MCERTS certification

Jan 15 2014

The Testo (UK) 350 emissions gas analyser has been awarded with MCERTS certification. The product has been approved according to the Environment Agency’s 'MCERTS Performance Standards for Portable Emissions Monitoring Systems'.

This means that the portable Testo 350 may be used to make periodic and indicative emissions measurements in many applications whilst meeting performance standards that are accepted by UK regulators. Typical applications include landfill energy recovery, energy production, high energy manufacturing plants, district and local heating and more generally monitoring stack emissions in most types of combustion plant.

The Testo 350 is a six-sensor flue gas analyser designed to measure gas emissions from combustion processes. For MCERTS the approved gases are O2, CO, NO, NO2 and SO2. Additionally the Testo 350 can be equipped to measure CO2, H2S and hydrocarbons.

The predecessor, the industry-leading Testo 350XL, also held an MCERTS certificate and is used by most of the leading firms in emissions monitoring. The new Testo 350 uses a highly innovative and robust analyser housing design which ensures thermal stability in the measurement sensors. This contributes to the reputation of the Testo 350 for delivering extremely high performance standards.

In addition the new Testo 350 offers several improvements over the Testo 350XL including: Colour graphics display, Application driven menu, Remote operation via Bluetooth or databus, Automatic pressure zeroing for longer term measurements, Improved service access for less downtime, Flow-controlled gas sample pump allows the use of longer gas sampling hoses and provides greater accuracy even in a range of stack pressures and Additional features such as built in gas preparation, measurement range extension using dilution factors.
