Portable/Field Testing
Nuremberg set for another busy SENSOR + TEST
Mar 23 2018
SENSOR+TEST, the leading forum for sensors, measuring and testing technologies worldwide will be welcoming visitors back to Nuremberg from 25th – 28th June.
Once again two first-rate conferences will accompany this year’s SENSOR+TEST – the international leading trade fair for sensor, measuring, and testing technology: The ettc2018 European Test and Telemetry Conference as well as the 19. ITG/GMA-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme. Enterprises and institutes are asked to submit their contributions as of now.
Connectivity is the backbone of our modern communication society. Telemetry technologies for applications in the aerospace and automotive industry as well as in biomedicine are being pushed and challenged by developments, such as IoT, big data, wireless or UAV (drones).
The ettc2018 European Test and Telemetry Conference is the most important international platform for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation, and data processing. After 2014 and 2016, it will take place for the third time parallel to and in cooperation with the SENSOR+TEST in Nürnberg. Enterprises and institutes can present their products, technologies, or services dealing with these topics in hall 2. Further information on the potentials of participation as an exhibitor as well as on the call for papers are available on the websites of the ettc2018.
Sensors and sensor systems for the Internet of Things are the focal point of the 19. ITG/GMA-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme (German language), scheduled to be held for the 26th and 27th of June 2018 by the Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG) in cooperation with the VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik (GMA). The call for papers can be downloaded on the website of the SENSOR+TEST.
Sensor, measuring, and testing systems play a key role in digitising and networking vehicles, machines, and systems – even of entire factories and indeed industries as a whole. They convert the actual status of the analogue world into the digital data world of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. And their intelligence and communication capability is continuously growing. The SENSOR+TEST 2018 addresses this exciting development not only with its special topic “Sensor and Measuring Technology in the Industrial Internet”, but also with the “Digital Transformation” topic area.
At SENSOR+TEST 2018 exhibitors will be presenting the innovations of their sensor and measuring systems in this field. At the fully booked special forum “Sensor and Measuring Technology in the Industrial Internet” as well as the topic area “Digital Transformation.”
Moreover, under the motto “Sensor and Measuring Technology in the Industrial Internet”, exhibitors will also present their technology on the June 26th at the lecture forum in Hall 5.
In 2017, The move to the new halls and thus the expansion of exhibition and floor space led to an exceptional boost in all key growth figures for SENSOR+TEST. The results of the visitor and exhibitor polls showed that quantity and quality are not mutually exclusive.
The number of visitors increased by a notable 21% to 8,656 (from 7,142 in 2016), while the number of exhibitors rose by 7% to 586 (compared to 2016’s 548). The 25% share of international visitors was topped by 37% of foreign exhibitors, impressively confirming that the SENSOR+TEST is the worldwide leading trade fair for sensing, measuring, and testing technology.
A solid 98% of all polled visitors were satisfied with the scope of information and the contact options provided at the stands. The exhibitors also gave the SENSOR+TEST top grades.
