Pyreos (UK), infrared sensor manufacturer, recently announced that Howard Ford, former Chief Executive of BT Cellnet, has joined the Company as the Independent Chairman of the Board of Directors. Howard’s appointment strengthens the Company’s Board and governance, as the Company embarks on ambitious expansion plans towards a global leadership position in the supply of infrared sensor products.
Jeff Wright, CEO & Co-Founder, Pyreos, says: “We are very fortunate to add a man of Howard’s experience to our team and I’d like to offer a warm welcome to him from all at Pyreos. I believe his leadership, and the exceptional range of experiences he has accumulated in growing companies into sustainable global enterprises, will be invaluable to us as we move forward with our plans.”
During his career, Howard has gained experience leading high growth venture capital funded private companies, as well as running public companies. Howard Ford comments: “I’m delighted to have joined Pyreos. The Company has all the key ingredients for success, having built up a blue chip investor base, a world class management team, and some outstanding sensor products that are already making inroads in key consumer and industrial markets. I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the Company and all its shareholders.”
