Campbell Scientific (UK) has released two new temperature profiling systems – the CS225 and the CS230.

The CS225 consists of an arrangement of temperature sensors mounted in a reinforced steel cable. Temperature points are over-moulded to provide long-term protection in all mediums. The assembly is completely sealed which means that the CS225 can be submerged, buried or even incorporated directly within structures.

The CS230 consists of a rigid probe assembly and up to four optional external temperature probes. The rigid probe assembly maintains the precise position of the temperature points within the profile, while protecting the temperature sensors in all mediums for the long-term. The completely sealed probe assembly and external probes permits the CS230 to be used in roadbeds, soils, and water (snow and ice).
