3D View Enables Faster Noise Mapping for Larger Areas

Setting up large-scale noise mapping projects is much simpler for consultants and environmental experts with the latest version of Brüel & Kjær’s (Denmark) Predictor-LimA software - version 10.0.

Predictor-Lima 10.0 utilises 64-bit processing, which enables faster model set-up and helps the user to reduce time spent on mapping tasks.

It also provides a faster 3D view for mapping and viewing cross sections of large models. In addition, Web Map Services (WMS) utilise on-line topographical maps to optimise the level of detail of background maps, in the software.

Predictor-LimA has proven to be an efficient tool in Australia where it is incorporated into BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina’s noise management processes and is a helpful tool in the planning of pits, in line with seasonal weather patterns, such as dominant wind direction. This maximises operational time, whilst minimising noise impacts on communities.

Created by Softnoise and distributed by Brüel & Kjær, Predictor-LimA is a highly advanced system for environmental noise calculation, mapping and analysis. It’s powerful and intuitive, making it the ideal software for experts and non-experts, modelling a range of noise applications including industrial noise, road, rail and air traffic.
