Industrial emissions
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are among the most tightly regulated pollutants in industrial emissions. Measuring them accurately in hot, wet, and unpreconditioned gas streams is a genuine engineering challenge - one that the nCLD EL2 from ECO PHYSICS AG is built to meet.
The nCLD EL2 is a two-channel chemiluminescence analyser for the continuous measurement of NO, NO₂, and NOx. It represents the latest generation of a technology that ECO PHYSICS has developed and refined since 1990, and in which the company holds world leadership in speed and sensitivity.
Unlike analysers that require clean, dry, conditioned sample gas, the nCLD EL2 is equipped with integrated hot tubing, allowing it to handle hot and moist sources directly. No external preconditioning unit is needed. The fully revised detector block, improved gas flow paths, and enhanced pressure and temperature independence push detection limits lower than ever - down to 0.12 ppm - while overall stability and reliability are lifted to a new level.
Four freely selectable measuring ranges cover concentrations from 5 ppm to 5,000 ppm, with a lag time of under 3 seconds and a rise time (0–90%) of under 1 second. This makes the nCLD EL2 equally suited to stable continuous monitoring and dynamic process measurement.
The instrument is built around a compact, modular architecture in which each component hosts its own CPU, communicating via BUS. This reduces wiring complexity, improves serviceability, and makes the unit virtually maintenance-free even in continuous operation. Rack mounting is straightforward, and system integration is rapid.
A bright 7" touchscreen provides clear numerical and graphical readout. Multiple digital I/O ports, USB, LAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, and RS232 connectivity ensure the nCLD EL2 fits into any monitoring infrastructure. Calibration is fully automatic, with data stored and accessible at any time.
The measurement principle conforms to EN15267, the European standard method for NOx detection in stationary source emissions.
The nCLD EL2 is used across a wide range of demanding environments: stack gas measurement, DeNOx plants, gas turbine manufacturers, petroleum industry, gas production, certification and calibration laboratories, and research and development.
