With the new interface electronics smartCONNECT2 (sC2) smartGAS (Germany) offers an option for easy integration of smartMODUL NDIR gas sensors into nearly every application. The analogue (0)4…20 mA output fulfils NAMUR standards and is therefore suited to detect cable breakages or short circuits. The voltage output can be configured for three different ranges of 0-1 V, 0-2 V, or 0-10 V while the wide supply voltage range of 12 V  to 24 V helps to integrate the smartMODUL sensors in different kinds of apparatus. An integrated pressure sensor is used for pressure compensation, which results in a higher overall accuracy of the sensor independent from the altitude or environmental conditions.

The on-board multi-colour LED signals the actual status of the sensor during operation. Together with the optional mountable keys and the modulBOX housing a complete measuring system can be realised very easily and cost effective. The new interface electronics sC2 were presented by smartGAS during the Sensor+Test show in Nuremberg.
