Easy Integration of Gas Sensors

The new modulBOX, presented by smartGAS Mikrosensorik GmbH (Germany) at the Sensor+Test show in Nuremberg, allows integration of the smartMODUL NDIR gas sensors into different housings. The available accessories make mounting, for example into a customer specific housing, very easy. The sensor and the electronics are protected against dust and splash-water, as the modulBOX offers protection class IP54. However response time of the sensor is still very fast – therefore a gas detection system reacts quickly.

A separate adapter can be attached to the modulBOX for maintenance purposes, enabling optimal exposure of the sensor with a test gas. Therefore tests can be performed, while the sensor is still mounted in the apparatus. With the modulBOX smartGAS offers a very cost effective possibility for the integration of gas sensors into a customer application.
