The new Thermo ScientificOrbitrap Exploris™ GC-MS brings high-resolution analysis into everyday testing in a compact and easy-to-use instrument, delivering leading sensitivity and mass resolving power up to 60,000. Analytical testing laboratories performing high-throughput analysis in sectors such as environmental and food safety can benefit from a simplified high resolution accurate mass gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) designed to provide sensitive data efficiently and confidently, allowing laboratories to speed-up turnaround time and expand their capabilities into new analytical avenues.

The Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ GC 240 MS takes research capabilities to a new level with a resolving power of 240,000, for accelerated innovation. As research laboratories require the versatility to answer myriad questions in their studies, the Orbitrap Exploris GC 240 MS also provides the flexibility to tackle a diverse range of analytical challenges including identifying unknown contaminants and extractables and leachables. The system offers the capability of MS/MS for compound structural information and both electron and chemical ionization without system venting to speed up time to result.

These new systems extend the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ portfolio of high-resolution accurate mass spectrometers which is now comprised of the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ 480 mass spectrometer launched in 2019, and the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ 240 and Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ 120 mass spectrometers launched in 2020.
