New and improved GC headspace autosampler brings dependable precision and connectivity to the environmental lab
Nov 17 2021
Thermo Scientific’s TriPlus 500 Headspace Autosampler, already a highly respected instrument, ubiquitous to environmental labs performing volatiles analysis, has just been improved and redesigned. The dependable and robust TriPlus 500 now includes an external transfer line for connection to the GC inlet, enabling analytical set-ups for when direct column connection is not an option. A fine example would be the ASTM D-3612C Method for analysing dissolved gases in transformer oil, which stipulates a connection of the headspace autosampler to a transformer oil gas analyser (TOGA).
Headspace GC technology is widely used in environmental testing labs carrying out volatiles analysis. It is easy to use, rugged, reliable, precise and versatile and is popular not only for environmental analysis, it in diverse applications within demanding sectors such as forensic, pharma and food packaging.
The TriPlus 500 Headspace Autosampler has always provided highly accurate analytical results, but now it offers a comprehensive HS-GC configuration solution, software and system checks for compliance and data integrity and new pneumatic controls for even higher levels of precision and robustness. Operators are assured of unsurpassed sample integrity and ease-of-use thanks to direct column connection. Moreover, the new, compact yet scalable design facilitates improved laboratory efficiency and productivity.
