OPAL Environmental, the Australian manufacturer of opacity and dust
monitoring systems have recently released the OPAL 200X system for use in hazardous zone applications. The system is certified to IECEX Exp Zone II Class IIC T6 and offers all of the features of the standard OPAL 200S systems, including USEPA PS-1 compliance, inbuilt control
and display panel, and precise digital push button calibration. The 200X
transceiver is automatically flushed with instrument air prior to start-up and is then continuously pressurised to provide protection from ingress of explosive gas atmospheres. Loss of purge pressure will
automatically shut down the 200X system.
Each system is supplied complete with: Automatic EXp purge control panel, Main control unit, Weather covers set.
