CEM India 2026: conference programme now live!

Registration and the conference programme are now live for the fourth CEM India, a free-of-charge conference and exhibition on emissions and air quality monitoring. CEM India 2026 will take place at the Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre), New Delhi, from 10–12 March 2026.

The event returns after high levels of participation and positive feedback from visitors, delegates, and exhibitors at previous editions. The 2026 conference will centre on the Central Pollution Control Board’s emission monitoring guidelines, which reinforce India’s framework for compliance, enforcement, and real-time environmental data collection. These guidelines address continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), ambient air quality monitoring systems (AQMS/CAAQMS), and continuous effluent quality monitoring systems (CEQMS), and set out requirements for instrument selection, installation, and operation.

CEM India 2026 is structured to help industry meet environmental regulatory requirements by offering practical technical guidance and direct access to monitoring technologies and expertise. India’s phased rollout of CEMS—initially focused on 17 categories of high-polluting industries, including aluminium, cement, fertilisers, iron and steel, oil refineries, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, power generation, sugar, tanneries, and zinc—represents a significant strengthening of national air and water quality oversight. Core parameters monitored include particulate matter, fluoride, ammonia, sulphur dioxide, NOx, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, and carbon monoxide.

Drawing on the established CEM conference series held across Europe, the UK, and the Middle East since 1997, CEM India 2026 will provide in-depth updates on regulation and policy developments, monitoring standards, calibration procedures, and quality assurance. The agenda will include case studies from Indian and international organisations, input from regulatory authorities, and technical sessions covering best practice, system installation, and data acquisition.

The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition featuring leading Indian and international manufacturers and suppliers of CEMS, AQMS/CAAQMS, and CEQMS solutions. Exhibitors will offer live demonstrations and technical consultation on current monitoring instruments and services. The event audience will include regulators, plant and process operators, environmental managers, researchers, and monitoring professionals responsible for air and water quality compliance.

Planned topics for 2026 include air quality monitoring networks and sensors, CEMS and CAAQMS implementation, regulatory developments, best practice, data acquisition and handling systems (DAHS), fenceline monitoring, gaseous CEMS, manual monitoring methods, QA/QC systems, trace-species measurement, and the application of AI and advanced technologies in air quality monitoring.
