Groundbreaking new monitor is the first to provide precise, real-time respirable crystalline silica measurements

The AIR XS Silica Monitor, from Trolex, which provides real-time silica monitoring for workers at risk from respirable crystalline silica (RCS), has been effectively tested to prove the efficacy of real-time silica monitor that could save thousands of lives, representing a revolution in the protection for workers exposed to RCS. 

With an estimated between 40 to 50 million workers worldwide exposed to harmful RCS in the workplace, Trolex’s mission to protect workers from this dangerous occupational dust has led the company to successfully developing the AIR XS.

AIR XS the only product in the world to detect and distinguish RCS in real time and is designed to function in all challenging industrial environments, by using patented Optical Refraction Technology (ORT) to detects all forms of crystalline.

The results of Trolex’s recent testing, commissioned by a leading occupational hygiene and laboratory testing organisation show the AIR XS repeatedly provided consistent, accurate, real-time data throughout an eight-hour testing period. 

The testing demonstrates that AIR XS can improve worker safety by providing instant information to businesses and workers exposed to RCS, instead of having to wait up to four weeks to know their level of exposure to this killer dust, which is the current industry standard.
