QED Environmental Systems new GEOTECH i-Q™ series of portable gas analysers for the biogas and waste management industries has modularity as its cornerstone.

The new analysers will replace the extremely successful QED 5000 range and will consist of a series of instruments suited to a host of biogas, landfill, anaerobic digestion and land remediation applications.

The i-Q™ series will feature intelligent modular architecture, user-replaceable gas cells, pressure sensors and filters all designed to optimise use in the field by minimising the necessity for back-to-base servicing and calibration. QED will despatch pre-calibrated modules directly to the customer’s site from their factory as part of planned maintenance program; a new calibration certificate will be generated when the replacement modules are installed.

As well as greater modularity, the i-Q™ series includes a user-replaceable battery with extended battery life of up to 10 hours, a 5 inch/125 millimetre optional touchscreen display and dedicated system pressure port for improved reading and process time.

All models have Wi-Fi connectivity; the Affinity Bluetooth device enhances i-Q™ series compatibility with legacy accessories (ie: temperature probes and anemometers).
