The National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the UK’s National Measurement Institute, has developed a series of state of the art exposure chambers to type test and validate sensors under controlled conditions that are employed for environmental monitoring for both government and industry, and other European bodies charged with the development of European standard measurement methods such as EN15267-3 and EN14662-3. NPL also provides independent sensor validation services for novel sensors currently being developed to establish that the data generated is valid and credible, delivering measurements that are traceable to national standards and are fit for their intended purpose. The NPL will be present at AQE, stand 42 - be sure to visit them if you want to find out more.
