The High Speed WindObserver offers the first class performance of the WindObserverII but has been enhanced to measure wind speed and direction to wind speeds of 75 m/s (168 mph), Available from Gill Instruments.

This proves essential in applications involving tornados and tropical storms, in land based and offshore applications. The small opposing transducers provide maximum possible directional ultrasonic signals
(used to provide wind data) whilst ensuring the minimum of wind distortion. The instrument includes a de-icing system as standard to extend the operational temperature range. This first class wind speed and direction sensor has been proven in many applications worldwide
and complements the range of wind speed and direction (anemometer) products from Gill.
