Buhler Technologies have recently launched the BÜNOx 2+ Gas Convertor, an update to their highly successful BÜNOx Gas Converter.

The original converter allowed for the easy and cost effective detection of NOx components in flue gas, converting almost 100% of the NO content through a replaceable reactor cartridge so as to produce a NO gas measurable by any commercially available IR-analyser. It worked at relatively low temperatures, had adjustable temperature settings and was designed to be easy-use and low-maintenance.

The updated BÜNOx 2+ converter features all of the above features alongside a variety of new ones. Its new key features include: an optimised menu structure; a longer life cartridge; quick and tool-less cartridge change; and the capability to deal with higher NO? loads. It also comes with the option for a solenoid bypass valve, allowing for the measurement of converted and non-converted NOx.

The BÜNOx 2+ has the same connectors and sizes as the BÜNOx and can be used as a direct replacement to any pre-existing converter. A wall-mounted version, the BÜNOx-W 2+ Sample Gas Converter, has also been launched which includes all of the same features and options as the 19” rack version.
