Bronkhorst (UK) has introduced the latest Mass-Stream® D-6300 series of digital mass flow meters and controllers for gases, which brings new levels of performance and sophistication to direct inline measurement. Whilst remaining true to the proven through-flow measurement technology, the new design has more powerful digital processing capabilities, a modern graphic display with push-button control, improved accuracy and a greatly increased measuring range from 0.01 to 5000 Ln/min air-equivalent.
So impressive are the Mass-Stream D-6300 credentials that it won a category prize at this year’s Golden Gas Awards, which are judged on the basis of technical innovation and staged by international publication Gases & Instrumentation. Bronkhorst UK Managing Director, Andrew Mangell, picked up the award at PITTCON 2010 in Orlando.
Mass-Stream D-6300 instruments are suitable for use in the analytical, environmental monitoring and effluent treatment industries with applications including dirty or wet gases and those with a tendency to particulate. Measuring applications include biogas from landfill sites and digesters, dirty exhaust gases from combustion processes, analyzer carrier, control and purge gas, calibration gas and produced gas from N2/O2 generators.
The model series extends from 0.01 – 0.2Ln/min at the lowest scale, to 100-5000 Ln/min at the highest range, with a turndown ratio of up to 1:100. Standard accuracy is ± 2%, with ± 1.5% available on request, and repeatability is better than ± 0.2%. They are available in aluminium or stainless steel for corrosive gases, and offer both an RS232 and analogue signals as standard in addition to optional Flow-Bus, Device Net, Profibus-DP and ModBus-RTU protocols.
