CEMS
Recent updates to Bronkhorst’s FLEXI-FLOW Compact series of mass flow controllers and meters have extended their capability to handle gas flows up to 500 ln/min. The newly introduced M2x and C2x models expand the system’s use in environmental monitoring considerably, particularly in applications that require high-speed, stable gas flow regulation, such as Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), calibration gas delivery, and trace-level air quality assessments.
The new instruments combine MEMS-based sensing technology with bypass flow architecture to provide a compact, highly responsive system. Fast settling times of under 150 milliseconds make them well suited for dynamic conditions found in real-time emissions testing and ambient gas sampling. Built-in pressure and temperature compensation, supported by an onboard database of common gases, ensures reliable performance across variable field conditions.
One of the most significant strengths of the FLEXI-FLOW Compact platform is its multifunctionality. Depending on the process need, the devices can switch between mass flow control, pressure measurement, and upstream or downstream pressure regulation, delivering a single-instrument solution for diverse environmental setups.
EtherNet connectivity is available for integration into digital networks, and the accompanying software tools support diagnostics, configuration, and performance monitoring. These enhancements make the FLEXI-FLOW Compact series a robust choice for laboratories, mobile platforms, or fixed-site monitoring where space, speed, and precision are crucial.
