Specialized Sensing Ltd (UK) announces the WS-401 and WS-601, the latest senor additions to the WS family of compact, integrated weather stations from Lufft GmbH.

The WS-401 and WS-601 combines the all-in-one integrated features of the WS family with a classic tipping bucket rain gauge to provide a precise measurement of rainfall quantity. In addition to precipitation measurements the WS-401 measures air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity and dew point while the WS-601 includes all the measurement parameters of the WS-401 plus an ultrasonic anemometer for wind speed and direction measurements. Their compact, innovative design is ideal for projects where visual impact and low maintenance are a consideration and for applications where flexibility, ease of integration and low power consumption are a requirement.

Using a digital RS485 interface the WS range offers a variety of open communication protocols including ASCII, UMB, MODBUS, SDI-12 and analogue in combination with a DAC. From environmental monitoring stations to building automation projects, the WS family of integrated weather stations offer an innovative climate sensing solution for every project.
