Pessl Instruments (Austria) are a manufacturer of environment monitoring devices, their iMETOS weather station is well known worldwide. These devices are measuring meteorological data including; rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, global radiation, soil temperature, wind speed, wind direction, soil moisture, barometric pressure and water levels. Thanks to Pessl Instruments chain interface the connection of various sensors is possible.

The iMetos station is powered by rechargeable batteries and a solar panel. iMETOS only requires a valid GPRS contract with good GSM coverage in the area to be operational. iMETOS reports its data to the internet climate data base of Pessl Instruments, where one can see and manage all your measured data. The newest member of iMetos product line is ICA 30/60, it’s a web based controller which uses internet technology to operate remotely the irrigation or automation system of a farm or a residential area. It can receive automatically daily ET data from a weather station near by and can be stopped immediately if the rain sensor on the ICA is triggered.
