The Sensors for Water Interest Group (SWIG) (UK) is a not for profit information, ideas-exchange, and networking group with a diverse UK-wide membership. SWIG focuses on the use of sensor and associated technologies for measurement and control in water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure, as well as in natural environments and waters.

Our networking activities include a varied programme of technical workshops covering all aspects of water sensing, which offer a cost-effective means of keeping up-to-date with sensor developments, new technologies and regulations, whilst fostering collaboration between parties. Invited speakers and enthusiastic audiences are able to debate the practical applications and current challenges for measurement and control in water and wastewater.

SWIG is pleased to be supporting WWEM on the 5-6 November at Telford, where we will be displaying the shortlisted posters from our 2014 Early Career Researcher scientific poster competition and announcing the winner during the gala dinner.

Please see www.swig.org.uk for details of our upcoming workshops (open to members and non-members), and for details of membership.

Autumn events include: 24 September: Monitoring Organics, Glasgow; 15 October: Telemetry & Remote SCADA Systems for Smarter Operational Management of Water Supply Networks, London; and 26 November: Instrumentation for TOTEX efficiencies, near Coventry.
