Solinst Canada Ltd. (Canada) is pleased to announce the release of a new version of the Model 122M Mini Interface Meter, a compact, portable instrument for accurately measuring floating or sinking hydrocarbon/product layers in water (LNAPL and DNAPL).
The new Mini Interface Meter comes with narrow PVDF cable in 80 ft. or 25 m lengths, which fits on a compact reel small enough to fit in a backpack. The cable is accurately laser marked every 1/100 ft. or mm, certified traceable to national standards.
The cable is extremely durable; corrosion, chemical and stain-resistant; and easy to decontaminate, which makes it ideal to use when measuring in wells and tanks at refineries, landfills or remediation sites.
The new Mini Interface Meters comes with a 5/8" (16 mm) dia. probe that is pressure-proof up to 500 psi. The probe clearly detects when it enters product or water, with an accuracy of 1/200 ft. (1 mm). It uses optical refraction and electrical conductance to determine product and water interfaces.
The circuitry is automatically tested when the Meter is powered on. The enhanced electronics only need one, easy-to-replace, 9V battery to operate. The new Model 122M Mini Interface Meters are certified intrinsically safe for use in explosive environments, and are ATEX certified.
The Model 122M Mini Interface Meter with narrow polyethylene flat tape is also still an option. For deeper applications, Solinst offers the standard Model 122 Interface Meter with laser marked PVDF flat tape, in lengths up to 1000 ft. (300 m).
