SciTOX (New Zealand) announces their second product release, the UniTOX toxicity analyzer. The UniTOX is dedicated to the University and Research markets and allows those customers to develop custom applications and methods for toxicity and metabolic measurements.
The UniTOX builds on the first SciTOX product, ALPHA toxicity analyser. “Customers doing research or custom method developments in toxicity or cellular metabolic measurements can use the UniTOX to rapidly develop new test procedures,” according to Ralph Wattinger, the CEO of SciTOX. “The University departments that can make particular use of the UniTOX include Environmental Science and Engineering, Physiology, and Biotechnology,” he added.
Rapid Toxicity Measurement Systems (RTMS) provide customers with a fast method of determining changes in metabolism due to toxins. A variety of cell types can be used for these measurements, and the effects of organic and inorganic toxins can be tested. The UniTOX continues the process of product development focused on specific, individual market applications.
