Representatives for the welfare of Ontario's drinking water supply have raised concerns after hearing reports of pollution in Port Stanley Harbour, it has been reported.

According to an article in the London Free Press, officials are concerned about reports of contaminants flowing though from Kettle Creek, which leads into the nearby harbour.

Ontario's Environment Ministry has also previously expressed concerns about contamination issues to the water, the news provider reported.

London district manager for the ministry Tina Dufresne stated that the harbor has drawn attention before due to its status as an historical utility.

She added that the government is responsible for contaminants leaving the harbour area.
