Bamosoft (France) are made for monitoring water softeners and offer a revolutionary breakthrough in hardness monitoring as an alternative to colorimeters, which are not easy to use. Furthermore, the colorimeter method requires costly reagents, whilst Bamosoft has no such additional costs to consider.

Bamosoft’s core technology is an ion selective sensor. The main innovation of the sensor is that it is able to determine the activity of ions, which defines the total hardness (calcium and magnesium).

The two sampling electrovalves will allow the device to compare softened and hard water qualities. Bamosoft triggers a quality alarm relating to the hard water TH percentage.

Two models exist: the SMART model has an alarm threshold set up at 10% of hard water percentage, the CONTROL model has a threshold that can be set up from 0.25% up to 10% of hard water percentage. A SPDT switch warns about softener failure.

Bamosoft selective sensors can detect high chloride concentrations, caused by a water softener’s regeneration problems. Bamosoft will then trigger an alarm, hence it can ensure the smooth running of reverse osmosis membranes.
