After launching the compact photometer PF-3 last November, Machery-Nagel (Germany) is constantly working on adding new tests and versions to increase the breadth of the PF-3 line. Thus you can use exactly the right photometer for your particular water analysis needs.

As of right now, analysis for both the swimming pool and drinking water segment are possible with the PF-3 version A, enabling the analysis of many crucial parameters, such as chlorine, pH, cyanuric acid, total alkalinity, fluoride, iron, chlorine dioxide and others. With the multiple pre-packed reagent cases available, Machery-Nagel can provide you with the perfect photometric testing solution for your individual requirements.

Soon they will launch a new version that enables quick and reliable soil analysis. Here the PF-3 as a robust and mobile instrument is especially suited. Being able to analyse the most important soil parameters (ammonium, nitrate, phosphate, potassium), it can be used right at the point of interest generating critical results in no time. Also, in this version both the high-end NANOCOLOR as well as the economical VISOCOLOR tests can be evaluated, adding even more possibilities for the user. The PF-3 will also be available in a special set-up together with Machery-Nagel's well-established soil analysis case, which provides highly comprehensive soil analysis and elution techniques.

Additionally, a version specifically for COD analysis will come to market in the near future, providing a unique and mobile COD analysis unit. Even low range COD tests can be safely evaluated using the PF-3, making it the ideal companion for various industrial applications and in-field analysis.

Of course, in all versions, users benefit from the intuitive user guidance and comprehensive menu structure of the PF-3, as well as the strong and robust design. It is water proof according to IP 68 and can withstand even the toughest environmental conditions due to its glass-fiber reinforced housing. Additional features such as an optional 0-measurement storage, multiple power supply options and a bright display add to the power and user friendliness of the PF-3.

Data transfer is made easy using the instrument’s mini USB-port and as with all Machery-Nagel photometers, free of charge software packages are provided, to administer and manage your data. Using the USB interface, you can also add any additional tests that may be available for your specific version for free. Thus, Machery-Nagel can address customers’ future needs, so they can benefit from all the options of their systems without incurring unnecessary costs.

The PF-3 and its new versions will provide attractive solutions for your analytical requirements in the specific areas of COD and soil analysis.
