MSA Safety acquires Bacharach Inc.

MSA Safety Incorporated recently completed its acquisition of Bacharach, Inc. in a transaction valued at $337 million. Bacharach is globally established gas detection company with a range of instrumentation widely used in the HVAC-R sector. Bacharach typically generate annual sales in the region of $70 million.

Nish Vartanian, MSA Chairman, President and CEO stated, "We're very excited to officially welcome Bacharach to the MSA family. Many industries today are placing significant focus on monitoring and managing the usage of refrigerants for safety, environmental and efficiency purposes. With a leading gas detection portfolio,  Bacharach provides MSA with access to attractive end markets."

Mr. Vartanian also said that MSA and Bacharach have been working in collaboration to ensure a smooth integration. "At the centre of this process is a highly skilled, cross-functional integration team comprised of leaders from both organisations, The team made great progress in developing a blueprint that will ensure integration success in the months ahead."
