Fixed gas detector
DALEMANS has launched S.Vx, an innovative smart gas detection system tailored for underground car parks. Carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) concentrations in underground car parks pose a major health and safety risk. DALEMANS, a Belgian company specialising in gas detection for more than 40 years, supports professionals in achieving compliance and securing their installations. Its systems are now deployed in numerous public and private car parks across Europe.
The S•Vx system, compliant with EN 50545-1, has been designed to meet the specific requirements of underground car parks. It includes detection of CO and NO₂ at breathing height (1.5 m above floor level), configurable alarm thresholds (50 / 90 / 120 ppm for CO, 0.2 / 0.5 ppm for NO₂), automatic control of ventilation units according to air quality, risk signalling via illuminated panels, sirens and flash beacons, and ModBus TCP communication for remote visualisation via V•Touch. The objective is to maximise safety while reducing ventilation system energy consumption through intelligent regulation. A video depicting the features of the S.Vx is now available.
Key features of the S•Vx system include up to 240 addressable detectors per control panel, an integrated touchscreen for configuration and event history, local data backup, backup batteries (2 × 7 Ah) to ensure continuity in the event of a power failure, and Modbus TCP networking. The new D•CAN GEN2 range introduces major innovations, including a replaceable sensing cell for fast replacement, time savings thanks to a one-man calibration procedure (an efficient calibration procedure that allows a complete calibration round without returning to the control panel), and clear status indication and integrated preventive maintenance. These detectors provide reliable, continuous measurement of CO and NO2 levels while reducing operating costs.
The V•Touch platform enables real-time visualisation of all data. It features a clear graphical interface, alarm and event history, a floor-plan view of the car park, and remote monitoring and control via a local server. This is ideal for car park operators seeking full control, even when off-site.
DALEMANS offers EN 50545-1-compliant systems, over 40 years' experience in gas detection, full support (study, design, installation, maintenance), innovation (connected control panels, smart detectors, and V•Touch supervision), energy optimisation (reduced ventilation operating time), and a European presence (operations throughout the EU).
