The HygroStat MB from Rotronic (Switzerland) is the new
HygroClip-compatible hygrostat/thermostat for the direct control
of two relays with changeover contacts for mains operation.
The appliance ismicroprocessor-controlled and can be fitted with
all types of ROTRONIC industrial probes. The HygroStat itself requires
no maintenance.
It is enough simply to calibrate or replace the installed
combi-probe for relative humidity and temperature. The digital
signal processing means that there will be no loss of precision. The
HygroStat MB can be used to carry out simple control functions directly, such as switching a dryer or humidifier on or off. The HygroStatMB is also fitted with a timer with which operation can be controlled selectively, e.g. on the basis of weekday working or other criteria. The new appliance can also be networked via an RS485 and
integrated into an existing monitoring system. A further highlight is connection via TCP/IP, which means that the appliance can be checked simply on any monitor within a company. The appliance is programmed with HW4 user-friendly software. In this way, the switching point, hysteresis, signal allocation and relay functions can be set individually.Because the HygroStat MB calculates all the psychrometric values, such as the dew point, enthalpy, etc. from the relative humidity and temperature, it can also be used for energy management functions or dew point switching.
