PyroScience is the expert in optical sensors and offers compact devices (made in Germany) together with a variety of sensor formats for measurements in water and gas, ranging from fiber-based microsensors to sensor heads with contactless read-out. Probes are also available for oxygen measurements in organic solvents, microfluidics and high-throughput screening. The sensor systems are based on unique detection technology, featuring ultra-fast response times with low interferences and are available as PC-operated meters, stand-alone meters and OEM modules for easy integration in existing systems.

The PyroScience all-purpose instrument is the multi-channel fiber-optical meter FireStingO2 which can be combined with the complete optical oxygen and temperature sensor portfolio, ranging from oxygen microsensors (50-70 µm tip), oxygen and temperature minisensors (0.5 mm tip) to robust oxygen probes (3 mm tip). This includes also diverse smart oxygen sensors like nanosensors, sensor spots, flow-through cells and respiration vials with contactless read-out through transparent walls. The FireSting features up to 4 optical sensor channels, automatic temperature and pressure compensation of the measurements, as well as easy sensor calibration and logging with the included user-friendly logger software.

The pocket oxygen meter FireStingGO2 is designed for stand-alone operation and comes with integrated rechargeable battery, high-contrast display, huge data memory and versatile long-term logging features (up to 1-2 years without recharging).

The ultra-compact oxygen meter Piccolo2-OEM is optimised for advanced applications of contactless sensors and features very low power consumption, contactless read-out of oxygen and temperature sensor spots through up to 20 mm thick windows, as well as real-time oxygen monitoring, high through-put screening and microfluidic applications (lab-on-a-chip) with dispersible oxygen nanoprobes.

Besides of this, various OEM sensor modules are available like a non-depleting, lead-free optical oxygen gas sensor for oxygen gas monitoring in e.g. glove boxes, portable equipment, exhaust gases, as well as an underwater OEM module FireSting-SubPort with a pressure stable optical connector for integration into custom-made underwater housings.

Now we introduce new optical sensors for the measurement of pH and are able to provide our customers with small and high-precision optical pH sensors in various formats for applications in water- and wastewater-treatment, aquaculture, marine research, life sciences and environmental monitoring.
