Bring on the Colours – Metrohm Presents the 887 Professional UV/VIS Detector

Metrohm’s new 887 Professional UV/VIS Detector enables safe and reliable quantification of substances that are active in the ultraviolet or visible spectrum. The instrument is operated by the user-friendly MagIC Net™ software and determines a broad variety of analytes via direct or indirect extinction.

Besides the classical anions and cations, transition metals and a range of organic substances can be also detected. Even in complex matrices as, for example, biological samples, low detection limits can be achieved due to the specific extinction properties of many analytes.

By means of additional pre- or post-column reaction, a large number of other substances can be digested and transformed into UV- or VIS-active molecules allowing those substances to be determined by means of the 887 Professional UV/VIS Detector. The 887 Professional UV/VIS Detector complements the proven conductivity detector and extends Metrohm’s range of intelligent detectors.
