Since 1991 InfraTec have designed and manufactured their world renowned pyroelectric infrared detectors in Dresden Germany. Optimised for the wavelength range of between 2 to 25µm, InfraTec’s clients use their detectors for NDIR gas analysis, fire detection, radiometry and spectroscopy.
InfraTec’s product line includes single and multi-channel detectors that have integrated operational amplifiers. A new family of devices with ultra-low power consumption is realised by a single supply operation mode. One multi-channel variation makes use of an integrated beamsplitter. Infratec have also developed a special LiTaO3 detector chip mounting which reduces the unwanted piezoelectric effect of pyroelectric materials remarkably. A new generation recently introduced to the market is a detector which is furnished with a MOEMS based tunable filter.
The sensor division recently set up its own presence in the facilities of the German-Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai on March 1st, 2012. In the rapidly growing Chinese market Infratec want to offer their customers local technical support, which is essential especially during the Design-In phase of pyroelectric detectors. There is now an applications engineer available to support Infratec’s customers in China, who speaks the local language.
