InfraTec, the world-renowned provider of infrared technology based in Dresden, Germany, recently celebrated the topping-out ceremony of its new headquarters at the Gostritzer Straße site. The company invested a total of 20 million euros in the expansion, making it InfraTec's largest construction project to date and a clear commitment to its headquarters and production site in Dresden.

The new complex, covering an area of 2,700 square meters, will provide ample production and development space for infrared cameras and pyroelectric detectors, as well as spacious office areas and social rooms. Equipped with highly flexible manufacturing equipment specifically designed for technology production, such as automated calibration stands and systems for growing and processing pyroelectric crystals, the new building will enable InfraTec to optimize its manufacturing structure and increase production capacities. This will allow the company to meet the growing demand for its products, of which nearly 70% are exported worldwide.

In addition to its focus on technology production, InfraTec also prioritized energy efficiency in the design of the new complex. The building is being constructed to the KfW55 standard and includes measures such as triple-glazed windows, increased thermal insulation of the roof and façade, and a 100 kWp photovoltaic system to provide the clean room with green electricity.

Construction of the expansion began in November 2021 and is expected to be completed in October 2023. InfraTec looks forward to continuing to serve its customers and expand its business in its new, state-of-the-art facility.
