H-B Instrument Company Upgrades ISO 9001 Status to 2008 Requirements  

H-B Instrument Company (USA) announce they achieved an upgrade from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008 accreditation through Perry Johnson Registrars, a UKAS and ANAB accredited body. ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management standard existing to “demonstrate a companies ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.” A company must have in place processes for “continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements”. ISO 9001:2008 accreditation outlines what H-B is doing to ensure the manufacturing of quality product and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

“The new ISO 9001:2008 update emphasizes a process approach to quality management and the interactions of those processes, and incorporates performance results, effectiveness and continuous improvement into the process-based model promoting the Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology,” comments compliance officer, Erika Reedy.

“With the upgrade to ISO 9001:2008 in addition to our ISO 17025:2005 and ISO 14001:2004 accreditations, we are the only thermometer manufacturer that has achieved triple accreditation.” says president, Edward Hiergesell.
