The CarboSen sensor element from ESCUBE (Germany) is a miniaturised sensor system for detection of oxidisable gases (COe). Therefore, a sensor system was developed, based on spezial aerospace know-how in combination with modern production techniques. So, the CarboSen is particularly suitable for measurements below 1.000 ppm COe. The working principle is the solid state electrolysis in the Non-Nernst version. This allows a COe-detection starting from 10 ppm e.g. for in-situ measurement in the rough flue gas of burners and heaters. The CarboSen sensor element can be used in; in-situ process monitoring, optimisation of combustion processes,  air quality control and general measurement and control techniques.
