Food Gas Analysers Upgraded

Jan 27 2014

Following on from the recent additions of software and a portable thermal printer for the Map-Pak range, AGC Instruments (UK) has significantly upgraded all Map-Pak analysers, at no additional cost.

Faster O2 and CO2 Sensors are being utilised to coincide with a number of new features which are now available. These include three new ‘Sample Volume’ Options to select from based on the packaging being measured. A three setting ‘Response Time’ for the CO2 sensor has also been implemented in tandem with the gas volume option to provide optimum performance. New firmware and software revisions control these functions to provide a fast and accurate analysis of the gases in food packaging. AGC Instruments will calibrate all units and pre-set all of the above functions based on the requirements of our customers which enables use straight out of the box. Alternatively, these settings can be easily adjusted by the end-user.

The sample inlet connection at the bottom of the unit has been modified to increase durability and ensure easy connections to the sample tubing and probe which now uses a new stronger needle.

As a result of these upgrades, the sampling time has been reduced and operability has been improved for a consistent performance. The Map-Pak analysers ensure peace of mind in the stringent quality control procedures for Modified Atmosphere Packaging.

The Map-Pak Gas Analysers measure residual gas content in the Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) process and are designed with quality and competitive pricing in mind. The Map-Pak family is available in three models: the Map-Pak O2 (to measure Oxygen only), the Map-Pak CO2 (to measure Carbon Dioxide only) and the Map-Pak Combi (to measure Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Oxygen (O2) and Nitrogen (N2) as a balance gas).
