Dust monitoring
Frogs Challenge Fine Dust
Jul 09 2016
Due to the release of the new fine dust aerosol spectrometer Fidas Frog by Palas GmbH (Germany), each dust particle is detected now.
The device is small, light and precise. Fidas Frog measures the fine dust load in indoor areas, f. e. at the office workplace, in the workshop or in the lab. It shows the PM fractions and optionally the particle size distributions etc.
Fidas Frog communicates via WiFi with its wireless operating panel (tablet). Operation is intuitive and simple. The Fidas Frog user interface can be used to evaluate all measuring ranges and compare them with one another. Even during a measurement, you can receive messages if limit values are exceeded. These limit values are defined statutorily or base on individual requirements. An integrated camera records the measurement set-up photographically. This way images can be conveniently assigned to the data record and the measurement report.
Fidas Frog enables measurements at a safe distance from the particle source. Thanks to the long battery life of 8 hours, you can measure a whole working day long. The time resolution of one measurement per second is helpful.
The sensor of Fidas Frog is basing on the sensor of TÜV Rheinland tested Fidas 200. Fidas Frog uses the measurement algorithm from this well-known, EN-certified fine dust monitoring system. This ensures precise measurements for the particle size ranges PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10.
