CDS Analytical acquires the rights to Empore™ products

CDS Analytical LLC has announced that it has acquired the rights to Empore™ products, including production line, patents and trademarks, from 3M™ Purification Inc, who manufactures the world-recognised Empore™ brand solid phase extraction (SPE) media which is used in numerous analytical applications. 

With this acquisition, CDS Analytical extends its reach into lab consumables and lays the foundation to expand its offerings toenvironmental, food science and biopharma customers, while creating opportunities to establish one-stop shop by covering both SPE instruments and consumables. The acquisition will combine the power of the CDS Analytical’s cutting-edge technology in analytical instrument with Empore™ brand’s legendary membrane formula in separation science to drive behavior change with CDS Analytical’s expertise in analytical chemistry and proven ability in manufacturing high quality products over the past 50 years. 

In making the announcement, Dr. Miao Wang, General Manager of CDS Analytical, noted that this acquisition "will allow CDS Analytical to provide continuous service to existing Empore™ customers and especially build a closer relationship with our existing customer base in the environmental market who has already adopted CDS Analytical’s key technology in air, water and soil analysis through thermal desorption and purge & trap technique"
