The World’s Largest Meteorological Exhibition Hits Amsterdam!

Meteorological Technology World Expo is this October gearing up for a blockbuster event that will showcase more brand-new meteorological instruments, technologies, techniques and services than ever before. The exhibition and conference, which is free-to-attend and takes place from 10-12 October 2017 in the new location of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is set to welcome over 200 exhibits and almost 60 conference papers!

Simon Willard, event director, commented, 'We're highlighting dedicated sectors this year: aviation, earth-observation, agri-business, horticulture, shipping, water resource monitoring and smart city infrastructure are very strong sectors for the 2017 show. Add to this the always-strong presence of weather service providers, military defense operations, energy firms, renewables and so on, and there are more compelling reasons to visit the exhibition than in the show's seven-year history.'

Willard continued, 'We're expecting to top last year's incredible event that welcomed almost 4,000 weather, climate and hydro-meteorological professionals. And being in Amsterdam, the show is better internationally connected than ever. Expect to see meteorological professionals from as far afield as New Zealand, Singapore, the US, Brazil, India, China, Japan, Chile, and of course from all over Europe.'

The diversity in technology applications is reflected in the free-to-attend conferences; sessions will look at technical research in meteorology as well as industry-specific applications. No specific conference registration is required: just find a free seat and participate. Attendees will acquire useful, applicable knowledge, then meet with exhibitors for the latest tech on offer. And for the first time the Expo will host panel discussions with participation from the World Meteorological Organisation, The World Bank, HMEI and leading vendors. Expect the latest thinking on matters such as public/private partnerships and network modernisation in developing countries.
