MKS (USA) Precisive 5 Analyzers are infrared absorption-based, on-line monitoring systems capable of accurately separating the hydrocarbon components which could previously be performed only by Gas Chromatograph (GC) analysers. These real time analysers require no carrier-gases, no-calibration gases and offer fast response analytics without compromising accuracy, repeatability, linearity or stability in the presence of interference. Sampling is a flow-through type, suitable for a continuous, on-line, unattended operation. Faster-response multi-component analysis provides significant cost-savings and efficiency gains in power generation applications.

MKS Precisive’s optical analysers are based on Tunable Filter Spectroscopy (TFS) which provide real-time gas analysis in the natural gas and hydrocarbon processing industries, including refineries, hydrocarbon processing plants, gas-to-power machines, biogas processes and fuel gas transportation and metering, while delivering customers a substantially lower total cost of ownership.

The MKS Precisive 5 Hydrocarbon Composition Analyzer, for natural gas, LNG, LPG, BOG, and BioGas, is configured for the measurement of alkanes: methane, ethane, propane, butanes and pentanes - fast update rates (down to sub-second intervals) are performed for the full C1 through C5 analysis, CO2 and Calorific value. The standard system configuration provides measurements of up to 100% methane, 25% of ethane, 25% of propane, 10% of butanes and 5% of pentanes. MKS Precisive 5 Trace VOC/ Hydrocarbon Analyser ppb/ppm Gas Detection is configured for the measurement of hydrocarbon and VOC gases, including alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, aldehydes and aromatics at ppm to percent levels.
