Horiba (UK) is pleased to announce the release of their new continuous particulate and metals monitor the PX-375.
In recent years there have been growing concerns regarding particulate matter and its elemental composition and its effects on human health. With this in mind Horiba developed the PX-375 that can monitor PM2.5, PM10 and Total Suspended Particulate Matter. The PX-375 can also measure the elemental composition of the dust which can aid with source apportionment which can mean the correct preventative measures are put in place.
The PX-375 uses two different technologies (Beta Attenuation and X-Ray Fluorescence) which are housed in a single 19” case. Remote operation can be undertaken using a network connection helping to minimise time spent on site.
With the new two layer non-woven PTFE filter tape, designed by Horiba, there is an improvement in detection sensitivity and with the integrated CMOS camera you are able to observe the collected sample and store images.
Running costs are also reduced as there is no vacuum pump or liquid nitrogen which are used in other X-ray fluorescence detectors.
